A very dog friendly pub with welcoming staff. It’s not a foodie place, just a basic public house with lots of character. It is seen as having one of the best traditional pub interiors in the country. Dogs are allowed in both the bar and lounge.

The Kingslodge Inn
I visited here recently with my dog and was made to feel very welcome. She was given a biscuit treat from the lovely bar staff. A water bowl was also provided outside. The Court Inn
Great family run pub. Open all day, serving an excellent range of beer and wines. Dogs are very welcome in the spacious bar area. Only five minutes’ walk from the city centre with stunning views of the Cathedral. I can highly recommend the Afternoon Tea!

Friendly bar and restaurant located near some excellent walks. Dogs are allowed in the dining area, but not the restaurant. Great for coffee and bacon sarnies after exploring the surrounding countryside. Water provided for dogs on request.
